Description:
On May 4, 2009, a kayaker discovered a decomposed body lodged in a log jam in a secluded area of the Grand River in Lansing, Michigan. The man was believed to have died between the fall of 2008 and spring of 2009. He is believed to have been between the ages of 50 and 70, with short, gray hair. He was approximately 6’ tall and weighed between 180 and 200 lbs. A 10” scar extended vertically between his sternum and belly button. Authorities found a mesh abdominal insert, indicating he may have had surgery for a hernia.
He was wearing a long-sleeved thermal shirt, short-sleeved XXL shirt and a button-front shirt, size L. He also had on blue and red plaid boxer shorts, socks and black shoes, size 8.5, with Dr. Scholl brand inserts.
His cause of death is undetermined.
