Lancaster County John Doe 1999

Description: 

On the night of August 1, 1999, a man was struck and killed by a car while attempting to cross PA 441 in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. He was African American, and it’s estimated that he was 60-75 years old, stood 5’4” tall, and weighed 130 pounds at the time of his death.

The unidentified man had been seen at locations across Lancaster County in the days before the accident, and it’s believed that he was homeless at the time of his death. Police officers spoke with him hours before he was killed, and he told them he was on his way to the nearby town of Columbia.
