Kingsburg John Doe 1986

July 2026 Case Update:

Research conducted by the DNA Doe Project indicates that Kingsburg John Doe has roots in Guatemala, specifically in Cuilco, Huehuetenango.

Description: 

On August 20, 1986, the body of a teenage boy was discovered in a field in Kingsburg, California. Investigators determined he was the victim of a homicide and later learned he had been murdered the night before at a nearby residence.

It was also discovered that he may have gone by the name “Mario” and that he was possibly employed as a farm worker. Investigators believed that he had arrived in Kingsburg from Southern California two days prior to his death, though he may have originally been from Mexico.

The boy was Hispanic, and it was determined that he had brown hair and brown eyes. It was also estimated that he was 15-16 years old, 5’5” tall and weighed 120 pounds at the time of his death.
