Pacific County Child Doe 1980

Description:

During a search of the Forensic Anthropology Department archives, faculty members from the University of Washington discovered a child’s skull fragment inside a cardboard box dated September 9, 1980 bearing a postmark from Bay Center, Washington. The box had been in the possession of a forensic anthropologist who worked at the University of Washington between 1958 and 1991. Law enforcement agencies were known to have submitted remains to the University, so the remains may belong to an individual who was a victim of a crime, but records about the case have not been located.
