John Darrow Doe 1982

Description:

On February 2, 1982 an unidentified male was found floating in the Mississippi River in Ascension Parish between Geismar and Gonzales, Louisiana. He had been deceased for approximately a week, and authorities estimate he was in his late teens to early twenties. He stood around 5’9” tall and weighed 140 pounds with  brown hair. His eye color could not be determined. The young man had received dental care in life as he had several dental fillings. A distinctive chip in his top left central tooth could have occurred prior or after his death. He also had a slight overbite. The man wore a Western plaid shirt with brown, blue and gold colors, blue jeans with a black belt, and blue sneakers with 3 white stripes. A sculpted facial reconstruction completed by LSU FACES Lab was created to show what he may have looked like in life.

The lab work for this case has been funded by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. DDP is providing investigative genetic genealogy pro bono.
