,

In the fall of 2023, the Pima County Office of the Medical Examiner received a tip from a websleuth who found a visual match with a missing woman from Ecuador. In March, 2024, the FBI confirmed her identity as Lourdes Lucia Llivisupa Ortiz.

Description
On June 29, 2010, a routine traffic stop turned tragic in Eloy, Arizona, after the driver of a vehicle attempted to evade police. After failing to stop, the van turned off of the road and into a field. The vehicle and a male occupant were found later that day on a dirt road, near where he indicated that he and his female passenger had jumped into the canal. He claims to have never seen her resurface. The next morning, the body of the woman was found in the canal.

The woman appeared to be Hispanic/Latina with brown eyes and black hair, ranging between 17 and 25 years old. She was estimated to be 5’4” tall. She was wearing blue pants, a black shirt, green underpants, a black bra and black shoes. She was also wearing a black beaded necklace.
