Bayonne Jane Doe 2007

Description
On October 18, 2007, the decomposed body of a young woman was found lying in the brush alongside Hook Road in Bayonne, New Jersey. The woman was believed to have been deceased for several weeks prior to her discovery. The area where the woman was discovered was described as isolated despite being located in an industrial area of Bayonne in close proximity to Route 440, a busy highway heavily traveled by truck drivers.

The woman is believed to have been of African American descent between the ages of 16 and 20. Her height was estimated to be between 5’2″ and 5’5″, and she weighed approximately 118-138 lbs. Her clothing consisted of a pink halter top, camouflage jeans (size 11/12), a black and red lace bra, boy short underwear and white socks with green teddy bears. She was also wearing a brown plastic thumb ring and a silver body chain around her waist. Her cause of death was undetermined; however, homicide is suspected.
